A few days ago we drew the 3 main styles of greek columns, Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian. It is amazing how often we run into greek styles of architecture, without realizing it! This was a fun project. After we drew the main outline of the column, we used a charcoal pencil and smudged it in so that it looks rounded.
