Cookies!

Hi! I was making cookies yesterday (once every 5 years or so:) and my brother said we should just take a video of us just testing the cookies. So we did, and now that I see it, it is funny how all of our personalities shine through. Here is that~~~~~>

Here is the recipe, because it seemed like a lot of people liked them at practice that day :D~~>

Almond Cookies
2 Oct 2006
1 stick unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon vanilla
½ teaspoon almond extract
2 cups all purpose flour, sifted
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup coarsely chopped almonds
¼ cup whole unpeeled almonds

Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies.

Preheat the oven by turning it on to 350 degrees.

In a mixer, or a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until it’s fluffy. If using an electric mixer, after about 30 seconds you can see that the mixture is very fluffy. Then add the egg, vanilla, almond extract, flour, salt, and the chopped almonds to the mix. Once all the dry ingredients have been added, mix everything together.

Once all of the ingredients have been mixed well together, pull off little pieces of the dough and roll them into balls that are about 1 inch in diameter. Put the balls about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Then place a whole almond in the middle of each cookie ball and push it down slightly. When the cookie sheet is filled, put the cookie sheet in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
The cookies should look lightly brown when they’re done.

Bye!
