Shaker Shark Invitational Swim Meet

Hi! Wow, that meet was long! Just as long as the name! I swam 50 free and 50 back the first day, and 50 breast, 50 fly and 100 IM the next. Wow! The first day they had finals in the evening, and I made them! Only the top 10 swimmers in each event and age group get to go back! And there were 118 11-12 girls in the 50 free! I beat my time for that event in the prelims, but then I beat it again at the finals! Yeah!

My back start was less than perfect. I had a good start, but when I got into the water, I was off to the side! My coach thought that I was going to go into the next lane! I hit the lane line and then I moved over back to the middle of the lane, my coach said that was very good because a lot of swimmers would freak and not turn back to their lane. But I did this in finals! I also swam in a 400 free relay, and I was first! So what ever split time I had counts for MY 100! And I had under a minute!

50 free, 27.75, 6th out of 118 + (before finals)

50 back, 32.04, 8th out of 104

50 breast, 41.34, 35th out of 89

50 fly, 30.40, 8th out of 79 +

200 medley relay, back split time 32.20, 8th out of 19 relay teams

100 IM, 1.12.77, 7th out of 67 +

200 free relay, split time 28.08, 4th out of 17 relay teams
